Comments: I could have used junk yard rear axles but choose to use the Mosers because I do open track events. Nothing against the Ranger axles as they probably would have worked just fine. Junk yard axles are only $60 each |
These are the "nice to have" items
item | source | cost |
spindle to strut hardware, bracket hardware, new spindle nuts | FORD | $50 |
new tie rod ends | Pep Boys | $60 (for 2) |
new wheels, 17 x 9 Cobra | FMS Cobra from PPI | $600 |
new tires, 255/40-17 R compount | Kumho VictoRacers | $600 |
bulge lug nuts | Gardner-Westcott | $28 (for 30) |
Total: | ||
Comments: Tire and wheel cost vary. Check your local papers. I missed a full set of used wheels & tires for cheapo bucks. Salvage yards have takeoffs. The hardware and tire rod ends and lug nuts are replacement items. The old ones would have worked, but I chose to replace. |
